What is "Supporting People"?

The "Supporting People" strategy is a UK wide programme which is managed by the Housing Executive across Northern Ireland. Its aim is to develop a range of housing support services that allow vulnerable people to access suitable accommodation, and help them to live as independently as possible.

"Supporting People" focuses on developing good quality services that give people as much choice as possible about how and where they live. It also promotes safety whilst helping people to be as independent as possible, and allowing them to access a range of support services.

The case studies in this section show how we have helped many people with a wide range of needs through "Supporting People".
