About the Board

The Board is responsible for general management, policy development and operation of the Housing Executive. There are ten board members, including the Chairman, Brian Rowntree.

They meet every month and decide on all important matters affecting the organisation, including expenditure and new or revised policies.

Seven members of the Board are appointed by the Minister responsible for housing, and the remaining three are nominated by the Northern Ireland Housing Council. At least one member of the Board must be female.
