We consult with the Housing Council every month
NIHC website
The Housing Council was established in 1971. Together with the Department for Social Development we consult the council on all matters that affect housing policy in Northern Ireland. We meet once a month with the Housing Council to explain our operations and strategy and discuss local impact.
The Housing Council is made up of one representative from each of the 11 District Councils in Northern Ireland. Four members of the Housing Council always sit on our Board. They are appointed for a four year period.
