Group Repair schemes have been restricted and prioritised.

This scheme allows us to help owners improve the exterior structures of their properties. It is a grant targeted to terraced houses where it has been agreed that an area based approach to improvement is appropriate. We will use group repair to assist rural and urban regeneration and will encourage owners to follow up the work with any necessary internal improvements.

The estimated cost to owners will depend on the amount of external work required.  The maximum contribution form private owners will be 50% of the estimated cost.  This contribution may be reduced if owners agree to a Test of Resources assessment.

We will appoint an approved contractor to carry out the work. The scheme will be supervised by our technical officer. When the work is finished we will issue a completion certificate to each owner. Should the owner sell the property within 3 years of the completion we will recover some of the costs of the work.
