You can call us on 03448 920 902 to request a Housing Benefit application form. You can also download the form, or you can call in to any Housing Executive office and collect one.

(If you download the form, please also contact us immediately at the above number to let us know that you intend to make a claim. The date of your phone call may be used to decide when your entitlement to Housing Benefit, if any, will start.)

You will be supplied with a Housing Benefit claim form (HB1) from your local Social Security Office, which you must complete and return to them. If you are awarded Income Support or Income Based Job Seekers Allowance, the Social Security Office will forward the Housing Benefit claim form to us. You can also apply directly, as described above.

You will be supplied with a form by the Pension Service, which you must complete and return to them. You can also apply directly to us.

If you follow this advice, and provide this information with your claim form, we may be able to process your claim more quickly. We will write to you if we need further information to assess your claim. If your circumstances change once you are receiving Housing Benefit, it is very important that you tell us right away.
