Rural households are being invited to attend a seminar on reducing their energy costs.
The event at Oxford Island Discovery Centre on 20th November 2013 will address factors that are driving up fuel poverty in rural areas, including high fuel costs and lack of fuel choice.
We are bringing together experts from the energy world to help rural households reduce their costs and get the most from their energy, including:
  • Consumer council
  • Northern Ireland Energy Agency
  • Oil Federation
  • Energy Conservation Manager, Housing Executive
Rural communities representatives will also share their experiences and know how, explaining for example how they have pooled their resources to negotiate better deals with oil companies.
If you live in, or represent, a rural community and would like to attend or find out more about the event, please contact Maureen Kerr at 90318521 or email maureen.kerr@nihe.gov.uk.
There is no fee for attending the seminar which will take place from 10.00am – 3pm, 20th November 2013 at Oxford Island Discovery Centre. Places are strictly limited so book your place early.
