Strategies & Plans

Introduction

This section of the site deals with the plans and strategies we have developed to deliver our services.

Corporate Plan

Our Corporate Plan shows our vision for housing; our Mission Statement; our values and our objectives. It summarises the main strategies that we will carry out to achieve these. The Corporate Plan cannot cover every aspect of our work in detail, so our District Housing Plans, which are developed from the Corporate Plan, set out the key housing issues at local level.

Strategies

Our strategies cover the whole social housing sector and reflect our role as Northern Ireland's largest landlord. They also deal with our wider strategic role and housing issues across the entire housing market.

Annual Report

Our Annual Report provides details of our achievements and how they compare to what we set out to achieve. Our performance is audited to make sure that it is as accurate and complete as possible.

Research

In order to make sure our strategies to be as effective as possible, we carry out a great deal of research into various housing issues. We also undertake regular consultations, where we ask members of the public and relevant organisations to have their say in our plans.

A number of other factors, including developing government and housing policy, influence our plans. Government Plans and particularly the Department for Social Development's Public Service Agreement are major factors in shaping our plans, along with our annual Review of the Northern Ireland Housing Market.

The Review of the Housing Market, the Corporate Plan and the District Housing Plans together represent our overall housing strategy for Northern Ireland.
