Two contracts recently awarded will see over 150 tenants, the vast majority living in rural areas of Ballymena Borough, having new gas or oil heating systems installed in their homes.
District Manager Eric Woods has described the contracts as good news for the borough at the start of 2012. “These contracts are a real boost as we start a new year, with 150 homes mainly in and around the borough’s villages, from Martinstown, Newtowncrommelin and Broughshane to Cullybackey, Portglenone, Ahoghill and Kells set to benefit, as well as a small number of town properties." he said.
The work will be carried out by our contractor, H & A Mechanical Services Ltd, installing gas systems where a firmus energy natural gas supply is available or oil systems in other locations.
The new, modern gas and oil systems will replace older, inefficient solid fuel systems. They are fully programmed and installed to the highest specification, so providing maximum efficiency and economical running costs for tenants.
This investment follows closely on from two contracts on site in the Ballee and Harryville areas of the town, providing gas heating systems in a further 270 Housing Executive homes.
Our contractor has extensive experience in carrying out heating installations, liaising with residents when planning and carrying out the work and again when it is completed to make sure that the high standards set and expected are achieved.
