105 of our homes in Omagh have had new windows or oil heating systems installed.
The homes involved are in a number of different locations within the town such as Lammy, Strule Park, Shandon Park, Centenary Park, O’Kane Park and Edinburgh Park.
District Manager Ivan Armstrong said, “This is a major boost for tenants living in the Omagh area. The work was carried out as part of our programme to upgrade our homes so that they continue to meet modern day standards. We have replaced defective windows in 44 homes in Lammy at a cost of just over £100,000 and have installed oil heating in 61 homes in various locations Strule Park, O’Kane Park, Centenary Park and Shandon Park. Our contractors, PK Murphy Construction Ltd and H & A Mechanical Services Ltd, have extensive experience in carrying out work of this nature in tenants’ homes, liaising with individual residents and ourselves to achieve the high standards set and expected.”
Mrs Bridget Doherty from Lammy Crescent is very happy with her new windows and said, “I have been looking forward for some time to having new windows installed and I am delighted with the finished work.”
