The Fox Park Residents Group in Drumnakilly, Co. Tyrone, has been selected to participate in our Shared Communities Programme.
The aim of the Shared Communities Programme is to develop shared neighbourhoods where people choose to live with others regardless of their religion or race, in a neighbourhood that is safe and welcoming to all.
Our West Area Community Cohesion Adviser Eddie Breslin explained, "This is a three year community led programme which is being delivered in three phases and Fox Park is one of four estates in the Housing Executive’s West Area which has been asked to participate. Funding will be made available to the groups to deliver good relations projects in their area, projects that bring neighbours together and help residents celebrate the diversity within their communities.”
Sally Mulholland, who is Chairperson of Fox Park Residents Group, said “We are particularly pleased to be selected for the programme. We are looking forward to the capacity training and are grateful for the funding which will help support and develop our Good Relations Plan over the next eighteen months.”
