The team at Twickenham House
Staff in our North East Area Office at Twickenham House in Ballymena have presented a cheque for £500 to Wilma McIlroy from the local branch of The Alzheimers Society.
The money was raised in a Book Sale and Breakfast, organized by the Area Housing and Programming & Planning Departments and supported by staff throughout Twickenham House.
Handing over the cheque, the organizers thanked everyone who had kindly donated books for the sale, with hundreds on offer on the day. They also thanked those who had contributed towards the breakfast, with delicious hot dogs and coffee aplenty on sale to help keep the shoppers browsing and spending!
The Book Sale and Breakfast was one of a number of events being undertaken by Housing Executive staff across Northern Ireland to help mark our 40th anniversary. The organisers were delighted at the response from local staff, supporting the very worthwhile work of The Alzheimers Society in the local community.
