We have just delivered our annual edition of Housing News to our tenants across Northern Ireland.
In the current climate of funding shortfalls we have taken this opportunity to let our tenants now how we plan to best manage our resources for the good of the most vulnerable.
Our priority areas will be:
- Maintaining our Supporting People scheme
- Reducing Homelessness
- Helping the elderly, the vulnerable and those with disabilities
While we will continue to seek additional funding we understand that we can not complete all the projects we would like to, such as carrying out much needed improvement work to our tenants’ homes.
We will continue to seek improvements that do not require a financial investment such as creating safe, happy and confident communities. This will involve an investment of our time and commitment. We hope that you will join us in working for a better future for all.
We also hope that the newsletter will prove to be a useful link to our tenants and an example of our interest in getting local people involved in the work we do. We do our best to provide useful advice and helpful hints as well as letting you know what we have been doing in the last year and to share some of our plans for the coming year.
We would also like to thank Firmus Energy, Phoenix Natural Gas and Nicholl Fuels for sponsoring our recent ‘Housing News’ competition in which five tenants received £200 towards their heating costs.
It is with your input that we can continue to improve all aspects of our services. If you would like to give us some feedback on the newsletter click here.
