Homes throughout Cookstown will get new kitchens
Main Street, Cookstown
New kitchens are being installed in 52 Housing Executive homes in Cookstown in a scheme costing £250,000.
Homes in Killymoon Street, Killymoon Crescent, Orritor Street, Orritor Crescent, Tullywiggan and a number of other estates throughout the district are having their old kitchens replaced with new modern units. As part of the scheme tenants are able to select their new kitchen units, worktop and tiles from a range of options, and kitchen layouts are being improved to accommodate modern day appliances.
Housing Manager, Ivan Armstrong, said, “The Housing Executive remains committed to improving housing conditions in the Cookstown area and this further investment underpins our commitment.
“Consultation is a key element of any successful scheme and to that end we have worked closely with the community and our contractor, PK Murphy Construction Ltd in the development of this scheme.”
