Town Centre Living Initiative Areas have been declared in a number of towns where the local council has a regeneration strategy that includes the promotion of town centre living.  At present all regeneration areas are closed, and therefore discretionary grants are only available where exceptional circumstances exist.  Exceptional circumstances are deemed to exist where there is an imminent and significant risk to the occupier as a consequence of the condition of the property.  HMO grants are no longer available.
