Switching your energy provider is easy

  • There is no cost to switch.

  • There will be no interruption to your supply.

  • Cooling off period’ - you can change your mind within the first 10 days.

  • Or, if you want to stay with your current supplier, ask if there is a better deal.

Calling a Supplier to Switch

When you have made a decision and selected a new energy supplier, you will  need to call this provider to switch your account.

You could be asked some questions when you call to switch. Have a copy of a recent bill

You may be asked about:

  • your current tariff (price per unit of electricity)

  • how much you spend?

  • your MPRN (Meter Point Reference Number). This is shown on your electricity bill

  • your keypad number used to top-up your meter

Are you currently receiving an incentive discount?

  • Don’t forget to check for any incentives they may offer?
