EU Settlement Scheme closes on the 30th June 2021

In order to secure their right to live and work in the UK following the UK’s exit from the EU, most EU, EEA, and Swiss nationals (and their family members) need to apply under the UK Government’s EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS).

The EU Settlement Scheme opened in March 2019 and is due to close on the 30th June 2021.

Any affected Housing Executive tenants or applicants who wish to remain in the UK after this date and have yet to apply should do so prior to this deadline.

It is free to apply for the EU Settlement Scheme and applications can be made online at https://www.gov.uk/settled-status-eu-citizens-families/applying-for-settled-status

Further information on the Scheme can be found on the gov.uk and nidirect.gov.uk websites.
