We were proud to take home the Stakeholder of the Year award on Friday night at #SocEntNIAwards18 for our Social Housing Enterprise programme.

We were proud to take home the Stakeholder of the Year award on Friday night at #SocEntNIAwards18 for our Social Housing Enterprise programme. Many congratulations to our Social Enterprise team!

The Housing Executive launched its Social Housing Enterprise Programme in September 2015, with a view to supporting individuals and organisations in the growth and development of social enterprises, to improve economic activity in Housing Executive communities.

Since the scheme’s launch, we have supported a wide range of businesses delivering services from recycling to graphic design and childcare and were delighted to see several of these pick up an award on Friday night. Newry’s The Good Space won the ‘One to watch’ category, while Tre-Eco Belfast’s Graham Bowden picked up the gong for ‘Employee of the Year’ and the prestigious ’Social Enterprise of the Year’ category was won by Acceptable Enterprises Ltd in Larne .
