To Create a Proud, Positive and Welcoming Community
Glens Community Association held a fabulous family fun day this month at the Glens Estate in Limavady, with support from us here at the Housing Executive.
The group provided a positive, fun and family-centric festival for local youth to engage in.
Neighbouring estates were invited to participate in the inclusive event in a successful promotion of cross community relations.
A marquee was erected whilst families availed of arts, crafts and bouncy castles, which proved popular with kids big and small.
Hot food was provided and children engaged in balloon modelling and beach-themed games whilst having their faces painted.

Our Limavady Patch manager, Dorothy Watson said:
“We are delighted to support the Glens Community Association in its efforts to encourage good community relations and are pleased that Wednesday’s festival was a fun and inclusive cross-community event for the residents of The Glens and its neighbouring areas.”
Tina McCloskey, manager at the Glens Community Association commented that:
“The Glens, funded by the Housing Executive and in partnership with the Dry Arch Children’s Centre, put on a fantastic range of activities and food for the residents of the estate and neighbouring estate as well as residents of the Bovalley Community. Great fun was had by all!”
