Good news for Cookstown as we install 52 brand new kitchens in tenants’ homes.
At a cost of over £¼m our homes in Princess Avenue and Windsor Crescent have benefited recently.
Prior to work starting in their home every tenant had a one to one consultation on their kitchens so they could have full input into what finishes they would like in terms of cupboard doors, handles, tiles and worktops. The work is being carried out in partnership with Bann Ltd.
Welcoming this investment Siobhan McKeown, from our local office, said:
“This is good news for our tenants.  They are getting the kitchen they really want as they were able to select their own units and worktops.
“The Housing Executive is full committed to maintaining and improving our homes to the highest standards.  Over the next few months we will be improving more of our tenants’ homes in the area.
“Staff in our Cookstown office will continue to work closely with our tenants to ensure work progresses with the minimum disruption and to the highest standards.”
Mrs Taylor, who recently had a kitchen installed, is ‘delighted with it’ and commented ‘the workmen were great’.  She went on to say:
“It was terrific to have had the chance to pick my new kitchen.  It will be lovely cooking here this Christmas.”
