A good spring clean in Ards

Kitted out with forks, spades, rakes and brushes, our Housing Benefit team recently tidied up the Garden Of Reflection in Kiltonga.
The team, based in Newtownards, has been involved with the local Hope Cancer Charity group for some five years. Each Spring, as part of the Volunteer Now initiative, some members of the team spend a day at the Garden Of Reflection clearing up after the ravages of the winter, planting new bulbs and where necessary give a lick of paint.
Speaking after the event Michael Taylor, Housing Benefit Unit Manager, said:
“We have built up a really good relationship with the members of the Hope Cancer Charity group over the years. Our team gets a tremendous amount of satisfaction from the day spent helping out clearing up and the group is always really appreciative of our help.”
