Our staff in the North Down and Ards area are rising to the challenge and have adopted ‘HOPE Builder’ as their ‘Charity of the Year 2014’.
‘HOPE Builder’ is an initiative by Habitat for Humanity NI to encourage organisations to raise £1,235 to help raise the walls (and roofs) on as many homes as they can.
To help raise the funds staff are hosting a pub quiz on 31 January 2014 in the Ards Rangers Football Club starting 7pm. The invitation is open to all willing to enter up a team (£10 for 6 people max).
Speaking about the event local Housing Officer, Jill Gallagher, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting HOPE Builder. The team in the office have really got behind the fundraising and we hope this will be a successful start to raising the funds and help build homes.
“It’ll been a fun night and I trust there’ll be a few teams from Ards, Bangor and beyond to help us out but places are limited so call now to book.”
To help us build hope book your table for the quiz by calling Jill Gallagher or Keith Cochrane on 03448 920 900.
The team has also a call out for any unwanted Christmas presents which you would like to donate to the evening’s raffle.  So if you can’t re-gift drop your pressies into the Newtownards office (Strangford House, 28 Court Street) where they will be gratefully received.
