A group of Carrickfergus residents were reaching for the stars recently having paid a visit to Armagh Planetarium.
75 residents from Windmill and Minorca Drive Residents Association boarded the bus to the cathedral city after securing funding of over £1000 from our Community Cohesion team.
On the way, the group stopped off at Rushmere Shopping Centre before visiting the Planetarium and sitting down to a four course meal at the Armagh City Hotel.
Jim Wightman, Chair of the Residents Association, said: “We had to book two buses as so many residents, young and old, wanted to go along on the day trip.
“The children were spellbound by the show at the Planetarium and the older people thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Everyone was singing its praises.
“I would like to thank the Housing Executive for funding this project. It helped residents come together for an enjoyable day out and improve relationships.”
