The Housing Executive has appointed Mags Lightbody as interim Chief Executive.
Announcing the appointment Donald Hoodless, Housing Executive Chairman said: “Dr John McPeake, our current Chief Executive is due to retire on 31 March 2014 and we are working to appoint a new Chief Executive as soon as possible. In the interim, we have appointed Mags Lightbody to lead the organisation.
“Mags Lightbody was appointed Director of Transformation of the Housing Executive in November 2013 to take forward a programme to improve delivery across a range of services and functions. In addition she is the main point of contact between this internal improvement programme and DSD’s Social Housing Reform Programme as it progresses.

Commenting on the retirement of John McPeake, Donald Hoodless said:
“John is retiring after 32 years service after a very distinguished career in housing. An ambassador of the Housing Executive he has shown dedicated leadership and professionalism throughout his career and had responsibility for the provision of valuable services which have made a difference to communities. We wish him well in his retirement.”
