To ensure the safe performance of all heating systems in its properties, the Housing Executive inspects and services all appliances annually.
We only use Gas Safe registered contractors for repair or installation of gas appliances. It is important that you allow our contractors access to carry out this important work.
Gas Disconnection
The Housing Executive has a legal duty to service its gas heating annually. Due to the serious implications of not fulfilling this duty, we have been obliged to introduce a policy whereby the gas supply will be disconnected if access to your home is not possible
Failure to ensure access will result in the NIHE disconnecting your gas supply.
If you suspect an appliance is unsafe then turn it off and do not touch it until it has been checked by a Gas Safe Registered engineer. and contact us on tel. 03448 920 901.
