Children from the Brookfield and Edenderry areas of Banbridge recently enjoyed creating craft displays and presents for Easter thanks to a little help from us.
The Brookfield/Edenderry Combined Community Association successfully applied for money to fund arts equipment through Community Grants which were offered by the Housing Executive. Michelle Copeland the Community Association’s Chair was delighted with the award saying:
“The committee was thrilled with the new arts equipment for the Community House.  We’re getting a real kick out of seeing the children develop their creative side and I know their parents are looking forward to displaying the children’s creations over Easter in their home.”
Our local manager, Geraldine Haire, echoed Michelle’s comments and went on to say:
“Although the arts award was small it shows what a difference a couple of hundred pounds can make to a group.  Broad smiles across the children’s faces tell the success story of this committed community group which we were pleased to help.”
