Grange Neighbourhood Renewal recently held a fun day on the Grange Estate.
The event was held to help bring the residents together and learn what has been achieved in the estate since the Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership started.
There were numerous activities for residents including petting farms, bouncy castles, bbq, storytelling, penalty shootout, tattoos, face painting, bun making and a lot more.
Organisations attending the event included the Housing Executive, the Fire Service and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
We held a ‘Best Kept Garden’ competition for residents to enter their own garden or a neighbour’s garden.  Prizes were gift vouchers for Hillside nursery.
There were nine entries and the judges were Calvin McGall, our Grounds Maintenance supervisor, Jennifer Willis, our Neighbourhood Officer and Joanne Drummond, Grange Neighbourhood Co-ordinator.
Prizes and certificates were presented by Jennifer Willis and Pat McCrudden, Acting Deputy Mayor of Newtownabbey Borough Council.
First prize went to John McFadden, 2nd prize went to Beth Harkin and 3rd prize went to Mr and Mrs Drummond.
