£345k invested in new kitchens in West Belfast.
Good news for homes in the Doon Road area of Lenadoon Estate and the Brooke area off Blacks Road, as the Housing Executive invests £345,000 installing 114 brand new kitchens in tenants’ homes.
The scheme started in January 2015 and completed last month.  All tenants were fully consulted beforehand so they could decide what finishes they wanted in terms of cupboard doors, handles and worktops.  The work was carried out in partnership with our contractor, QMAC Construction, who worked hard to ensure that any disruption was kept to a minimum and the residents were satisfied with their new kitchen.
Welcoming this investment for our tenants Assistant Housing Services Manager, Margaret Marley from our West Belfast office, said:
“This is more good news for our tenants in the West.  They are getting the kitchen they really want as they were able to select their own units and worktops.”
The work has been well received by tenants, with the Devlins from Greenane Crescent, commenting:
“We would like to thank the Housing Executive for providing us with a new kitchen, we are really delighted with the overall result.  It was great that we were able to choose our own units and worktops.  We would also like to thank the contractor for carrying out the work to a high standard.”
