Double glazed windows in Whiterock
Our tenants in the Whiterock area of West Belfast are benefitting from new double glazing this winter, making their homes much warmer. The scheme, costing over £230,000, has been ongoing since early October and approximately 169 homes will have received new double glazing throughout their home when the scheme finishes later this month.
The work has been well received by tenants, with a tenant from Whiterock Crescent saying:
“I am delighted with my new windows and I can really notice my house is much warmer.”
We are also planning to commence a heating replacement scheme here in January 2015, which should greatly contribute to the overall energy efficiency of homes there.
Pat Gregory, Whiterock/Westrock Residents Association, also said:
“The window replacement scheme to homes here in the Whiterock was well overdue and is very much welcomed by the residents of the area. This has been an excellent scheme and comes after negotiations and consultations with the Housing Executive and comes on the back of a successful Warm Homes initiative in the area. This scheme, along with the heating replacement scheme starting next month will really help, particularly as the onset of winter approaches, to keep homes warm. We would like to thank the Housing Executive, and the contractors, PK Murphy, for the high standard of work.”
