We turn up the heat with £1.8m

Our homes across Craigavon, Lurgan and Portadown are reaping the benefits from the organisation’s ongoing investment in energy efficient heating.
Worth over £1.8m some 330 homes in the area will gain from having their heating upgraded, the majority from solid fuel, to a more energy efficient system either gas or oil depending on their location. Where applicable, we will be able to offer our tenants the opportunity to retain an open fire in tandem with the new system.
In partnership with BC Energy we are working in Ballyoran, Brownlow, Brownstown, Lurgan, Rectory, and Redmanville and the whole project is due to complete by May 2015.
Area Manager, Denise McNally, is delighted with the investment in the area and commented:
“The Housing Executive is committed to improving homes and acting to reduce fuel poverty across Northern Ireland.
“This heating upgrade to our properties using ‘A’ rated boilers will prove more cost effective to run for our tenants. We are pleased with its progress and encourage all tenants to make sure they take up this offer.”
