Our team in Ards and North Down is delighted that Margaret Cox from Glen Ward has been has been shortlisted from almost 200 entries for the Chartered Institute of Housing’s 2015 Housing Heroes Awards.
The awards showcase the people and teams doing exceptional work in the social / affordable housing sector across the UK.  Organised by Inside Housing magazine and the Chartered Institute of Housing, the awards are in their seventh year and attracted an amazing response with submissions from the length and breadth of the UK.
The winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in the Exchange Hall, Manchester Central on Monday 22 June.
Owen Brady, our Area Manager is thrilled Margaret Cox has been shortlisted saying:
“Margaret and the Glen Ward Community Development Association (GWDA) have been instrumental in ensuring the Glen Estate is a settled area in which people are proud and happy to live in.
“Given her vast contribution to the Glen and broader Ards area we were delighted to nominate Margaret for the awards.  Her shortlisting is a real achievement in itself as I understand for some categories there were almost 35 entries.  We wish her well in next week’s Awards ceremony.”
CIH chief executive Terrie Alafat said:
“Congratulations to all of the shortlisted finalists. From frontline and back office housing professionals to tenants and board members, the housing world has many heroes working hard to make a difference in their communities. These awards aim to make sure they get the recognition they deserve.”
