Glen’s Good Relations
Published: Wed, 11 Mar 2015
Members of the Glen Ward Community Development Association (GWCDA) recently participated in Good Relations training as part of their involvement in our Shared Communities Programme.
The programme, delivered by Mediation NI, is designed to help those attending explore the concept of good relations. As a result of their participation the group now has a framework to help them promote the Glen Ward area as a shared community more fully.
After the training Margaret Cox, Glen Ward Community Development Association’s Secretary, said:
"The training was very valuable to the group. It was held at the weekend and showed what a great commitment we have to GWCDA from all the members that took part.
“We as a group would like to thank Mike and Stefania of Mediation NI for facilitating the training and the Housing Executive for their support through the Shared Communities Programme.”
Our Head of Income Collection and Neighbourhoods, Jennifer Hawthorne, was delighted to learn Glen Ward completed the training saying:
“It is important where the opportunity to develop good relations arises it is taken. Glen Ward showed great commitment to the Housing Executive’s Shared Communities Programme and I wish them well as they continue with this work.”
