Our tenants in the Aghagallon, Wakehurst and Taghnevan areas of Lurgan are looking out this Spring through new double glazing and at the same time benefitting from warmer homes.
Work is finishing soon to 216 homes in the area, which represents an investment of over £313k in our stock.
Denise McNally, the Area Manager for South in which the Lurgan office is located, is pleased with the work being carried out by the contractor, Bann Ltd, and said:
“This is a terrific boost for our tenants; I am delighted we have been able to progress this scheme.
“Over the years our homes have been regularly upgraded and maintained and in this contract the single glazed windows which have reached the end of their useful life are being replaced with uPVC double glazed units. With their replacement our tenants will benefit from greater energy efficiency, noise reduction, warmer homes, and lower heating costs in their homes.”
Pictured with one of our tenants, Shauna Maguire, who recently had the glazing installed, is our local Housing Officer, Jackie McAlernon. She reports a high degree of satisfaction from those tenants who have received their new double-glazing.
Shauna Maguire is delighted with her new windows, saying:
“It was great to see the new windows go in and I’ve already noticed the benefits of a warmer home and less noise. I am looking forward to seeing lower heating bills too.”
