Local resident delighted with new kitchen

Ahoghill woman, Emily Fleming, showed off her modern new kitchen to our Area Manager Mairead Myles Davey this week.
More than 70 Housing Executive homes in the Ballymena area have recently been fitted with a brand new kitchen.
The kitchen replacement scheme represents an investment of over £350,000 by us.
Ms Fleming says she’s delighted with her new larger kitchen.
“There was a small back hall but that was taken away when the kitchen units were installed, now I can fit in a dining table. It means I spend a lot more time in the kitchen, I’m in here all the time.”
Ms Fleming was one of 72 households in the Ballymena town and nearby rural areas to benefit from a kitchen makeover.
Welcoming this investment, Area Manager, Mairead Myles Davey, said:
“A kitchen is the heart of a home that’s why it’s so important that tenants are given the option of choosing their own units, worktops and tiles, so they are getting the kitchen they really want.
“It’s lovely to meet Emily and see first-hand the improvements in tenants’ homes, which brings benefits to their lives every day. This investment is building on the Housing Executive’s continued commitment to maintain and improve our homes.”
The kitchen replacement scheme was carried out in partnership with contractors, Dixons.
