Brand new landscaping has brightened up a housing estate on the outskirts of Omagh, thanks to us.
We have invested nearly £15,000 in Fox Park by installing a new community planting and meeting space.
The new garden will offer people living in the rural area a warm welcome and a chance to make new friends.
Fox Park Residents Group worked with our Grounds staff to create raised beds, plant flowers and shrubs, and install a picnic area. They also secured funding through the Community Cohesion Programme to assist with the project.
Oonagh McAvinney, our South West Area Manager, explains how the new garden will make a difference to the local community:
“Thanks to our Community Cohesion funding and the work of our Grounds Maintenance team we were able to help Fox Park residents transform a piece of unused land into something the entire community can enjoy.
“This garden will help bring people out of their homes to exercise, destress and socialise with their neighbours.”
Sally Mulholland, Chair of Fox Park Residents Group, said:
“I am delighted that the Housing Executive were able to provide funding and support to help us spruce up this area on our estate.
“I am extremely proud of all the work that has gone into creating our garden and I am confident, regardless of the weather, it will be used all year round.”
