Make savings on household bills by being more energy efficient!
That's the message we are delivering at this year's ‘Self Build and Improve Your Home’ at the Belfast Titanic Exhibition Centre. If you want to improve your energy efficiency and save money then come and meet the Energy Conservation team on stand D24 at the show 12-14 February.
As the Home Energy Conservation Authority for Northern Ireland we play an important role in improving energy efficiency in everyone’s home. During 2014/15 nearly 13,000 households across Northern Ireland received vital energy advice helping them save energy and therefore money.
We have taken a stand at the ‘Self Build and Improve Your Home’ show to help raise awareness of the benefits of energy efficiency, promote specific energy saving measures, provide advice on renewables, encourage oil buying club membership and advise on what financial help is out there for householders.
Noel Rice, our Energy Conservation Manager, commented:
“We want to promote energy efficiency when and where we can. Oil is the main fuel in nearly 70% of homes in Northern Ireland and although oil prices have dropped considerably we cannot afford to be complacent as they remain changeable. At the show we’ll be able to offer advice on insulation, heating, fuel switching, renewables, grants and other financial incentives to help you maximise energy efficiency.”
If you miss the show but would still like to find out more about more efficient heating systems, insulating your home, grants to save energy, cutting fuel bills, reducing CO2 emissions, paying for fuel, help with fuel debt, energy audits, low energy lighting, use of appliances or any other fuel related issue then contact the Energy Advice Line on 0800 142 2865.
