A burst of colour has appeared in the playground of Carnlough Integrated Primary School.
Thanks to a little help from us, children from the school, along with members of Carnlough Community Association, recently planted up barrels with summer bulbs and primula.
The planting was organised by Carnlough Community Association thanks to funding from us to help their area continue to bloom and grow.
The group had hosted a planting session before Christmas with the children and this extra set of planting will provide colour in the area throughout the summer.
Mairead Myles-Davey, our Area Manager, said:
“I am delighted we were able to support Carnlough Community Association with this project. The children have made a contribution to their area which the whole community will enjoy over the summer.”
Archie, Logan, Lexi and Ella help to create blooming barrels with Carnlough Community Association Volunteer, Patricia McConnell.

They are not just finished yet as Carnlough Community Association’s Secretary, Mary Watson, explained:
“It was a terrific morning and the children’s enthusiasm was terrific…but keep watching out to see if you can spot some more ‘blooming barrels’ appearing around the village soon!”
