Families at the Waterworks were basking in a warm glow after the success of the recent Celtic Spey Casting Challenge.
The event, held between Friday, May 6 and Sunday, May 8 and supported by the Housing Executive and Belfast City Council, was a big success and the first of its kind to be held in Northern Ireland.
Aimed at raising the local profile of Spey Casting – a specialist type of fishing – the event was a big success and attracted crowds of onlookers over the weekend.
Men’s World Champion Travis Johnson and Women’s World Champion Donna O’Sullivan waded in with other international anglers, local fishing club members and schools and youth groups to meet the challenge in north Belfast.
Well done to families at the Waterworks and the Waterworks Trout and Casting Club for organising a ‘reely’ fantastic event!
