Our tenants in Lisburn have benefitted from a major improvement scheme which has given them new kitchens and bathrooms in their homes.
157 properties in the Old Warren, Ballymacoss and Glenmore areas have had new fitted kitchens and bathroom upgrades installed as part of the scheme.
The work, carried out in two phases over the last year, saw an investment of over £1million in the properties, raising the living standards for tenants and providing modern, attractive fixtures and fittings.
Aengus Hannaway, our Manager for Lisburn and Castlereagh, said:
“On average we spent around £6,500 on each home included in the scheme which gives a stylish upgrade to each property.
“We want our tenants to have improvements in their day-to-day lives in their properties and the feedback on the ground has been universally positive.”
One tenant, Leanne Reid, who lives in Tonagh Drive, is delighted with her new home improvements, saying; “I’m thrilled - it’s a big improvement on what was here previously.
“I was able to pick the colour of my kitchen units, the doors, the taps, the colour of paint used and even the lights that were included in the build so it was an amazing process that I felt part of.
“Thanks to the Housing Executive for their great work.”
