Warning of heavy rain on Friday

Heavy rain showers are forecast for Friday 30 and Saturday 31 August.

Heavy persistent rain is expected to affect parts of Northern Ireland through Friday evening and into Saturday morning.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain between 6:00pm on Friday 30 Aug 2019 and 9:00am on Saturday 31 August 2019.

This warning affects County Antrim, County Fermanagh, County Londonderry and County Tyrone..

What to expect

  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer​​
