The Housing Executive, in conjunction with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, helped local school children plant some flowery cheer on the Rathbrady Road, Limavady last month.

Pupils from Termoncanice Primary School planted hundreds of daffodils and tulip bulbs in large boxes on the Rathbrady Road, Limavady.  Council workers and Housing Executive grounds maintenance staff taught the children about the different types of plant bulbs, and when best to plant them.  The bulbs will make a cheery welcome when they bloom into bright spring flowers in a few short months.

Martina Forrest from the Housing Executive and Stephen Proctor from Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council organised the planting as an opportunity to teach the children about gardening and bring some community spirit to the area.

Let’s see how the boxes blossom in the Spring!
