The Met Office has issued a warning of heavy rain affecting southwest Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland on Wednesday 2 September, especially during the afternoon and evening

Heavy rain causing some flooding and travel disruption.

What to expect:

  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer 
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer 
  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible. 

The weather warning is in place for County Down and County Armagh.
