To take a lead role, under the direction of the IT Systems Development Manager, in the design, development and delivery of high quality technology solutions that address business needs.
Lead the development of bespoke applications and/or COTS applications that are deployed within the Housing Executive.
To lead & supervise a team of developers and assign resources to activities within the development lifecycle.
In this capacity the Lead Developer will be expected to play a major part in defined areas without close supervision.
Candidates must have:-
1) A degree or professional/technical qualification of an equivalent academic level, plus a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience within the last 5 years
Exceptionally, candidates not holding the above level of qualification but with 3 years’ relevant experience within the last 5 years may also be considered.
For shortlisting purposes, candidates must demonstrate evidence of their relevant experience by providing specific examples with dates, for the number of years required, depending on their level of qualification, of having taken a lead technical role in two or more of the following areas of the systems development lifecycle:
- Systems design
- Systems Development
- Systems Delivery
- Systems Support
2) Candidates must also be able to demonstrate that they have programming experience in two or more of the environments listed below:
- C# programming
- Visual Studio
- ASP.NET MVC Framework
- Development of functionality (eg. workflow) using the native toolset within a COTS application currently deployed within the Housing Executive
3) Additionally, candidates must demonstrate experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Team foundation Server 2010
• Microsoft SQL Server 2012 – 2016: either Database Design or Database Management or Stored Procedure Creation & Management
• Systems Integration
• Mobile application development
• Web development
• Unit Testing
The successful candidate should note that they will be expected to obtain and/or maintain a relevant professional qualification once in post.
