Bangor ‘One Stop Shop’ event offering support and advice during Homelessness Awareness Week

A free One Stop Pop Up Shop event is being held in Bangor as part of this year’s Homelessness Awareness Week.

Providing an opportunity for local people to access housing, finance, cost-of-living and benefits advice, the One Stop Pop Up Shop will be held at Hamilton Road Community Hub on Tuesday, December 3, from 10am to 1pm.

As well as housing specific advice, those attending can also find out more about support services available in their local area.

Eileen Thompson, the Housing Executive’s Area Manager for Ards and North Down, said: “Working alongside our partners at the North Down Community Network, our staff will be on hand to welcome anyone in need of help or advice about homelessness or associated issues.

“We’ll also be joined by expert staff from a number of local organisations and charities offering face to face support on a wide range of issues.

“Help with the cost-of-living will be one of the focuses of the clinic, with free advice available and signposting to relevant support services.

“Our One Stop Pop Up Shop event is just one of a number of events organised by the Housing Executive, which will take place across Northern Ireland during Homelessness Awareness Week.”
