Funded through the Housing Executive’s community involvement grants this was just one of a number of planned events to promote and build intergenerational connection and support families affected by the cost-of-living crisis in the village on the outskirts of Ballymoney.
Gemma Moore, Treasurer, Balnamore Community Association said, “Thank you so much to the Housing Executive for all their support.
“We had a lovely evening together making beautiful wreaths and just enjoying the company of others and celebrating the real sense of community there is in the village.
“Our workshops have become a bit of a tradition in the village now because our residents just love getting together with people of all ages in a relaxed, welcoming environment to learn new skills and build relationships.”
Gareth Doran, Housing Executive Good Relations Officer, Causeway said, “We are very happy to support this event which very clearly gets everyone into the festive spirit while exercising their creative and social skills.”
