Drumaness and District Summer Fete is a success

Drumaness and District Community Association received almost £1,500 in Community Involvement funding from the Housing Executive to put towards a Summer Fete and Clean Up.
A brilliant day was had at the cross-community event at the Dan Rice Hall - which included children’s activities such as a Petting Farm, boat races, balloon sculpting and magic shows.
Housing Executive Area Manager, Claire Crainey said,
“We were delighted provide funding to supplement the Community Associations own fundraising and with how well the Summer Fete turned out.
“With events and activities catering to a range of age groups – the Summer Fete, as well as the country themed night for teenagers and young adults were great successes.”
Showcasing campfires, a country-themed disco with a Bucking Bronco, the country themed night was also funded as part of this joint initiative with the Housing Executive.
Phillip Irvine from the Drumaness and District Community Association added,
“We have no doubt that this project will further enhance and positively impact the lives of the residents of Drumaness.”
Open to all ages, the Community Clean Up was also organised by the group, aiding in fostering awareness, appreciation, and a sense of responsibility for preserving the local area.
