A transformed and popular green space has become the go-to safe place at the heart of Armoy village for all ages to gather and enjoy.
Armoy Community Association in the Co. Antrim village was awarded a Housing Executive community involvement grant of £1, 832 to help to maintain Limepark to a higher environmental standard.
Deirdre Casey, Housing Executive Neighbourhood Renewal Officer, Causeway said, “We are confident that this beautiful park with its community garden will help to reduce social isolation and loneliness in the area.
“Already a popular spot this new-look Limepark is sure to attract even more groups to enjoy outdoor activities and enjoy each other’s company surrounded by nature.”
Ruth McNeill, Community Development Officer, Armoy Community Association said, “This funding is helping us transform Limepark Playing Fields into a space where our community can thrive.
“With improved paths and comfortable seating, Limepark will be a safer, more accessible environment for all.
“These lasting improvements will enable us to continue to support positive wellbeing for the whole community.”
