Clearing skies and scattered wintry showers bringing icy patches and some disruption on Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning.

The Met Office yellow warning for ice is in place from 6.00 pm on Tuesday, 6 January until 11.00 am on Wednesday morning, 7 January 2026

What to expect

  • Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
  • Icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
This warning affects County Antrim, County Armagh, County Down, County Fermanagh, County Londonderry and County Tyrone.
