Community hosts vibrant multicultural day in South Belfast

Families and residents recently gathered together for a vibrant Multicultural Community Day in the Market area of Belfast.
Stewart Street Playground was a hive of activity, music and games at the event which received £2,310.00 Community Involvement funding from the Housing Executive.
Tracy Conlon, from the Market Development Association, said: “It was great to see the whole community come together to celebrate the diverse mix of cultures we have in our area.
“Our fun day was the perfect opportunity for neighbours to get to know each other, further strengthening the close ties we have in this community.
“Local children also had a great time with the chance to enjoy face painting, go karting and inflatables.
“We’re so grateful to the Housing Executive for their support with making this happen.”
Lisa Hull, the Housing Executive’s Good Relations Officer, said: “Congratulations to the Market Development Association for organising another hugely successful day for residents.
“We’re proud to support initiatives like this one, which bring people together, strengthens communities and reflects on the diversity of our communities.”
