Credit unions

Credit unions are non-profit-making money cooperatives.  Services and rates may vary between credit unions, who offer the following.

Savings

Saving at your credit union has a number of benefits.  The more you save, the bigger your shareholding will be.  At the end of the year, you can then receive a dividend payment based on how the credit union has performed and the amount of your shareholding.  Your savings enable the credit union to offer improved and additional services, with members like you able to borrow at competitive rates.

Loans

Members can borrow from pooled deposits at low interest rates, based on what you can afford to repay.  Loan insurance is included in loan packages at no cost to you.
