Residents of Fox Park in Omagh are being kept up to speed with local news and events thanks to the launch of a community newsletter.

A Community Involvement Grant worth £1087.99 from the Housing Executive helped buy the digital equipment needed for Fox Park Residents’ Association to kick-start the quarterly publication.

Sally Mullholland, Chairperson at Fox Park Residents’ Association, said: “We are thrilled to launch our newsletter which will serve our small community and is run by a team of dedicated volunteers.

“This wouldn’t have been possible without funding from the Housing Executive, which we used to buy a laptop and printer.

“Our newsletter is a useful tool for local people to access information which is important to them, find out more about our wonderful community events, and signpost our residents to relevant help and support services.

“Thanks to the Housing Executive for helping our residents’ group keep our close-knit community informed.”

Christopher Spence, the Housing Executive’s Good Relations Officer for the South West, added: “Our Community Involvement Grant is being put to great use at Fox Park with the launch of this newsletter.

“We were pleased to help support the project, which will keep people up to date with important local matters and increase the already strong sense of community in the area.

“New digital equipment will also prove vital for the residents’ association, who continue to organise a number of fantastic events in the area for the benefit of the whole community.”
